Step-by-Step Tutorial: How to Use the "Create Quick Item" Feature

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to quickly create items for a quote without having to go through the full custom product creation process. The "Create Quick Item" feature allows you to add products quickly while quoting, saving you time. Let’s dive in!

Step 1: Navigate to the Quote Section

  1. Open the product listing where you want to create a new quote.
  2. Look for the "Create Quick Item" button on the page.

Step 2: Click on the "Create Quick Item" Button

  1. Click the Create Quick Item button. This opens up a prompt that lets you create a new item quickly.
  2. The process is similar to creating a custom product, but designed to save you time when you only need to add an item quickly.

Step 3: Add a Product Image

  1. In the "Create Quick Item" section, you’ll see an image upload button. Click on it to upload an image for the product.
  2. Upload the product’s front image. In this case, you might upload a shirt image, such as a Black AS Color shirt.

Step 4: Add the Brand

  1. If the product’s brand is already listed, select it. In this example, we’re working with AS Color.
  2. If the brand isn’t listed, click the plus button to add a new brand (e.g., "Delta" for a different product line like t-shirts, hats, etc.).

Step 5: Fill in Product Details

  1. Item Name: Enter the name of the product. Example: “Delta T-Shirt.”
  2. Description: Add details about the product. For example: “100% cotton, adult t-shirt.”
  3. Color: Select the color (e.g., black).
  4. Sizes: Choose the available sizes, such as small, medium, large, XL, 2XL, 3XL, and 5XL.

Step 6: Set Wholesale Cost

  1. Enter the wholesale cost for the product. For example, let’s say the cost is $3.50 per shirt.
  2. Select the supplier. If it’s not integrated, you can manually choose a supplier like AS Color.

Step 7: Set Markup

  1. Choose the markup percentage for the product. In this example, a 100% markup is used.
  2. The system will calculate the final price based on your wholesale cost and markup.

Step 8: Add the Item to the Quote

  1. Once all the details are filled in, click Add to add the product to your quote.
  2. You can now select the quantity of items needed. For example, enter 12 shirts.

Step 9: Edit or Duplicate the Item (Optional)

  1. If you need to make changes to the item later, you can visit the Quick Items section from the product menu.
  2. Here, you can edit or duplicate the item if needed for future use.

Step 10: Save and Finalize

  1. After entering the necessary quantities and checking everything is correct, save the quote.
  2. If you need to create more quick items, repeat these steps for other products.

Important Notes

  • This feature is perfect for quickly adding items like stickers, specific banner sizes, or products you don’t typically create custom listings for.
  • Avoid using this feature for blank garments. It’s better to create custom listings for those to have more control over the details.

Conclusion

The "Create Quick Item" feature is an easy and efficient way to add products on the fly while creating quotes. It allows you to add items quickly and make sure they can be reused in future quotes without having to create them from scratch.
